Building attendant (Kapı görevlisi)

Also known as: doorman, caretaker, kapıcı, security guard, site staff

Definition

A staff member working for the management of an apartment building or site who handles cleaning, garbage collection, heating, security and helping residents.

The building attendant is employed by the management under an employment contract; employer obligations such as social security registration, wages, leave and severance pay are fulfilled by the manager on behalf of the management. The attendant's flat, if there is one, is a common area.

Unless the owners have agreed otherwise, the law provides that the building attendant's costs are shared equally by the unit owners. Having a written job description (working hours, garbage collection times, cleaning of common areas) reduces disputes between residents and the attendant.

In CasaX, the building attendant, with the field staff role, sees only their own site; they process visitors with a code, record parcels and close the requests assigned to them with photos.
