Stop guessing whether the night round happened
Put QR-labeled checkpoints around your complex and set an ordered or free route and its schedule. The security guard starts the round in the mobile app and scans the QR code at each checkpoint with the camera; the time is stamped on the server. Missed or incomplete rounds are reported to managers.
A QR label can be photographed and copied; CasaX can't prevent that, it only makes it easier to keep an eye on. There's no location (GPS) tracking; NFC tag support is planned for a later version.
Checkpoint, route, time and result
Patrol plans are linked to the shift plan: a round is assigned to the guard on that shift, and the record shows whoever actually walked it.
QR-labeled checkpoints
Each checkpoint has an unguessable QR code and a 6-character short code that can be typed in. Labels are printed in bulk on A4; if a code leaks, regenerate it to invalidate the old label.
Route and schedule
An ordered or free list of checkpoints, expected duration and tolerance. Schedules like "every 2 hours between 22:00 and 06:00"; each round is assigned to the guard on shift at that time.
Scan with the camera
At each checkpoint the guard scans the QR code with the phone's camera or types the short code. The time comes from the server; scans made without a connection are queued and marked as "delayed".
Results and alerts
Each round closes as completed, incomplete, late or missed. Managers are notified about missed and incomplete rounds; an incident reported by the guard becomes a request in one tap.
How a night round works
Set up checkpoints and the route once; rounds open from the schedule automatically.
Step 1: Set up checkpoints
Enter checkpoints with a name and location, print the QR labels and put them where they're hard to reach.
Step 2: Set the route and times
Order the checkpoints, enter the expected duration and tolerance, and set the schedule; optionally link the route to a shift template.
Step 3: The guard walks the round
In the mobile app the guard starts the round, sees the next checkpoint and scans its QR code; anything wrong is reported as an incident with a photo and a note.
Step 4: Review the results
Follow rounds in progress, missed rounds and incidents in the panel; download reports by period, route and guard as Excel.
Patrol report: which checkpoint was skipped, which round was missed
For the period you choose, the report shows completed, incomplete, late and missed rounds per route and per guard, the checkpoint scan rate, the most skipped checkpoints and reported incidents. Round details show when each checkpoint was scanned, plus out-of-order and delayed scans.
- Guards never see checkpoint codes during a round, only checkpoint names
- Out-of-order scans on ordered routes are recorded
- Rounds, guards and incidents as Excel and CSV
- Missed round, incomplete round and incident alerts to managers, in their own language
Features that work together
In CasaX every module shares the same ledger: work done in one shows up in the others on its own.
Could someone photograph a QR label and scan it somewhere else?
Yes, it's possible, and you should know that. A QR label can be photographed or copied, and the short code can be written down. CasaX stamps the scan time on the server, never shows the codes to the guard, marks offline scans as "delayed", and reports out-of-order scans and round duration; but it can't stop a copied label from being scanned. Put labels high enough to be hard to reach and use tamper-evident labels; if in doubt, regenerate codes and replace labels, and compare with camera footage from time to time.
Are NFC tags supported?
Not yet. Support for NFC tags, which are harder to copy, is planned for a later version; for now checkpoints work with QR codes and short codes.
Does it track the guard's location?
No. The app doesn't ask for location (GPS) permission and doesn't track location. The proof of a round is the scanned checkpoint label and the scan time on the server.
What if there's no internet?
Scans made where there's no connection, such as a basement or car park, are queued on the phone and sent when the connection returns. They're recorded with the time they reach the server and marked as "delayed"; the phone's clock is kept for information only.
What if I don't allow camera access or the camera doesn't work?
Each label shows a 6-character short code; the guard can type it in to check the checkpoint. The record shows whether a checkpoint was scanned with the camera or typed in.
How are problems seen on a round reported?
During a round the guard reports an incident with a photo and a note, as security, fault, cleaning or other, with a priority. If needed, the incident becomes a request in the requests module in one tap, and managers are notified.
Put your night rounds on record.
Stick the labels and set up the route; a missed round is reported that night, not the next morning.
