Parcel reception
Also known as: package reception, parcel delivery, mailroom
Definition
Receiving and recording parcels and packages for residents at security or reception, and handing them over to their owners.
In sites with parcel reception, the courier leaves the package at security or reception; the staff record it with the name of the person it is for, notify the owner and record the handover when delivering it.
A recorded process prevents disputes over lost or misdelivered packages. For valuable or cold-chain deliveries, it is advisable to announce the site's limits of responsibility to residents in advance.
In CasaX
In CasaX, staff record an incoming parcel and the resident is notified instantly; the handover is also marked in the app.
