No-debt certificate (Borcu yoktur belgesi)

Also known as: no-debt letter, clearance certificate, debt-free certificate

Definition

A letter showing that an independent unit has no outstanding dues or other debt to the management as of a specific date.

When a unit is sold, the buyer, or when it is rented, the new tenant or the owner, may ask for this document to make sure no debt remains from the previous period. Although it is not a legal requirement, it prevents disputes that might arise later during the handover.

The document is based on the date it is issued; it does not cover debts charged after that date. Being able to verify that the document really came from the management increases trust.

In CasaX

In CasaX, a resident with zero debt downloads the certificate from the app themselves; anyone can check the certificate's validity with the QR code and verification code on it.
