Collective building complex (Toplu yapı)
Also known as: multi-block complex, housing complex, collective complex management plan
Definition
A development of several buildings and common facilities managed together under a single management plan; regulated separately in Turkey's KMK.
Provisions on collective building complexes were added to the Condominium Ownership Law in 2007. Several buildings on the same or different parcels, together with their common areas and facilities, can be bound by a single collective complex management plan.
Management in a collective building complex has two tiers: each block runs its own affairs with its own owners' assembly and manager; the complex-wide common areas and facilities are managed by the complex's board of representatives and the complex manager.
