Virtual POS (Sanal POS)

Also known as: payment gateway, online POS, payment institution

Definition

The bank or payment institution infrastructure that lets card payments be taken over the internet without a physical device.

A virtual POS lets card details be captured on a secure payment page and forwarded to the bank. It can be obtained directly from banks or from payment institutions licensed by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye.

When card details are entered on the payment provider's page, the site management and the software it uses never see the card data; this matters both for security and for card data security standards (PCI DSS). Features such as installments, 3D Secure and refunds vary by provider.

In CasaX

CasaX works with the site's own iyzico or PayTR account; card details never reach CasaX and are taken on the payment provider's secure page. Installment options are set in the site settings.
