Excel import

Also known as: bulk data import, Excel upload, data migration, spreadsheet import

Definition

Transferring records such as units, residents and debts into the software in bulk from an Excel file.

When moving to a new system, entering hundreds of independent units and residents one by one is both time-consuming and error-prone. With Excel import, the records are prepared in a spreadsheet, the columns are mapped to the fields in the system, and the records are imported in one go.

A safe import consists of these steps: using the ready-made template or mapping the columns of your own file, previewing and checking for errors before importing, and then confirming. Checking for duplicates is important so that the same record is not created twice.

In CasaX

In CasaX, you import units and residents with Excel: you can fill in the template, or map the columns of your own file and preview before importing. Reports and lists can also be exported to Excel.
