Independent unit (Bağımsız bölüm)
Also known as: apartment, flat, unit, daire
Definition
Under Turkish condominium law, a separate, independently usable part of a building, such as an apartment, shop, office or storage unit, subject to condominium ownership.
An independent unit is a unit with its own page in the land registry that can be sold or rented out on its own. It is numbered in the building project; the title deed shows the independent unit number, the floor, the type (residence, business premises) and the land share.
The use of an independent unit must comply with the law and the management plan. For example, certain commercial or healthcare activities in an independent unit registered as a residence are possible only with explicit permission in the management plan or with the required decision of the assembly.
In CasaX
In CasaX, independent units are generated in a few steps from the number of blocks, floors and units, or imported from Excel; each unit is defined with its land share, m² and type.
