Auditor (audit board) (Denetçi)
Also known as: audit board, audit, supervisory board, denetim kurulu
Definition
The person or board elected by the owners' assembly to audit the manager's accounts and transactions on behalf of the unit owners.
The owners' assembly may elect an auditor, or an audit board of several people, to audit the management; the auditor may be one of the unit owners or an outsider.
The auditor examines whether collections, expenses and cash and bank balances are consistent with the documents and assembly decisions, and reports the findings to the unit owners. This report is an important basis when the release of the manager is discussed at the ordinary meeting.
